We have recently acquired a second EFCO 650 flatbed heat treatment oven. This oven is capable of thermally toughening glass which ranges in thickness from 3 – 25mm

This new machine will work alongside our existing unit and effectively double our thermal toughening capacity. As a result, we will in future be able to segregate jobs by material and / or product type to maximise production through-put

This investment results from our growing order-book for borosilicate and aluminosilicate gauge and sight glasses and the need to apply significantly different thermal toughening parameters compared to our soda lime products. We expect our expanded thermal toughening capability to be available in March 2012

We will continue to offer both thermal and chemical toughening to our customers
